Day 75 – “On the boardwalk in Atlantic City…”

For more than 100 years, Atlantic City has been one of the leading tourist attractions on the east coast. Now, it is known as the “Las Vegas of the East” … having many fine gambling casinos.

There is still a nice beach in AC …

The famous “rolling chairs” have been featured on the boardwalk since the late 1800s.

Su … with the boardwalk in the background, as seen from the beach …

I don’t think that many people pass this photo opportunity with taking a picture…

Su eating one of Nathan’s famous hot dogs. (actually … Nathan’s cost $3.75 and this one only costs 50 cents)

Flowers on the boardwalk …

Su was interested in this very large War Memorial Statue ..

Oh no … Su with two statues at Caesar’s Palace … (and what happened next cannot be shown)

The boardwalk … Glitz, Casinos and Honky Tonk

Su … the aspiring supermodel …

Honky Tonk souvenir stores like this one still exist on the boardwalk, along with the elegant casinos. This one has been here since at least 1940 and I used to go there every summer as a kid.

Many different things are sold on the boardwalk … from tiny to large ..

Ripley’s “Believe it or Not” museum…

Most of the glitz these days is from the casinos ..

For almost 3 months, Su (and Gigg) have always wondered what was inside of those big l-o-n-g limousines

Well … another of their wishes has been fulfilled …

Su .. sitting by some bubbling gold (water) at a very beautiful high end mall in the Caesar’s Palace Casino.
